The authors study the non-existence of positive solutions to a non-linear possibly singular and degenerate parabolic problem with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. The ``action'' happens on a complete non-compact Riemannian manifold in dimension \(n\geq 3\). Their proofs involve a fine use of Hardy-type and Leray-type inequalities.
