A necessary and sufficient condition for the delay dependent stability of higher order neutral delay differential equation is presented. An efficient numerical algorithm for checking the delay-dependent stability of the delay system is also given. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and usefulness of the main results which extend those in the literature.
