The goal of the paper under review is to present a ``Groupoid proof'' to the Lefschetz fixed point formula for elliptic complexes whose differentials are of order one. The author defines a ``relative version'' of tangent groupoid which resembles the appropriate localization phenomena, describes the corresponding groupoid algebra and explains the relation with the Lefschetz fixed point formula.
