Summary: The attention of this study is derived from a single perishable product from a single producer and multi-buyers, production-inventory model for deteriorating items with time dependent demand and allowable shortage. A mathematical model incorporating the costs of both the producer and the buyers is developed. A sensitivity analysis of relevant cost function of this model is to minimise the integrated total cost per year more easily. All these practical aspects are incorporated into the model with the purpose of making it more realistic.
