The author considers in this paper the time optimal control of the convective Brinkman-Forchheimer equation in two-dimensional domains, where the control is of distributed type. Following the standard approaches, the author proves the existence of an optimal solution to the time-optimal control problem, and derives the first order necessary optimality conditions by using the Pontryagin maximum principle.
