The authors investigate the so-called ``tangential trapezoid central configurations'', here ``a tangential trapezoid is a trapezoid whose four sides are all tangent to a circle within the trapezoid: the in-circle or inscribed circle''. They characterize tangential trapezoid central configurations by analysing Dziobek's equations of the 4-body problem.
