Bilinear equation and additional symmetries for an extension of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili hierarchy (Q2239058)

The authors discuss a bilinear extension of the KP hierarchy. In particular they are interested in a symmetry analysis of this extension. As a byproduct, some Virasoro symmetries for the constrained KP hierarchy are constructed by using a method different from that in [\textit{H. Aratyn} et al., Phys. Lett., A 228, No. 3, 164--175 (1997; Zbl 0962.37510); Int. J. Mod. Phys. A 12, No. 7, 1265--1340 (1997; Zbl 1073.37531)].
