Two-dimensional Golod complexes (Q2240612)

Let \(K\) be a simplicial complex and \(R[K]\) its Stanley-Reisner ring. The authors consider the property of simplicial complexes of being Golod by distinguishing between the cases when \(R\) is a ring or a field. They prove that there are simplicial complexes which are Golod aver any field, but they are not Golod over some rings. They also give a characterization of two-dimensional simplicial complexes which are Golod in terms of fat-wedge filtrations of a polyhedral product.
