Multipolarons in a constant magnetic field (Q2249424)

The authors show that the minimizer of the energy of several polarons through an effective functional which depends upon a wave function, is the solution of a nonlinear Schrödinger equation satisfied by this wave function. The proof of this result works via the existence of a minimizer for the Pekar-Tomasewich functional on the one hand, and the determination of the rate of exponential decay on the other hand.
