The author studies Banach spaces of traces of real polynomials on \({\mathbb R}^{n}\) to compact subsets equipped with the supremum norms from the point of view of Geometric Functional Analysis. As a consequence of the main theorem, he proves the result of the title in the terminology of \textit{J. Bourgain} [Lect. Notes Math. 1153, 96--127 (1985; Zbl 0583.43008)].
