Using an operator Jensen inequality and a known theorem mentioned on p. 57 of [the second author et al., Mond-Pečarić method in operator inequalities. Inequalities for bounded selfadjoint operators on a Hilbert space. Zagreb: ELEMENT (2005; Zbl 1135.47012)], the authors give converses of the operator Jensen and the scalar Lah-Ribarič inequalities. They then apply their results to quasi-arithmetic means and power means for selfadjoint operators.
