Laguerre pseudospectral approximation to the Thomas-Fermi equation (Q2255732)

The authors consider the following two point boundary value problem \[ y''-((y^{3/2})/(\sqrt{x}))=0,\quad x\in(0,\infty), \;y(0)=1,\;y(\infty)=0.\tag{1} \] Using an iterative method based on Laguerre pseudospectral approximation which is more effective from known methods, the authors solve the problem (1).
