The motion of a dynamically symmetric rigid body about its center of mass, placed at the triangular libration point of the circular restricted problem of three bodies is considered in this paper. The Hamiltonian function is transformed to a reduced form to solve the problem of stability in the nonlinear sense. A necessary and sufficient condition of stability of the steady motion is derived, which is an extension of the same problem of a satellite in circuit orbit.
