The Naghdi-Hsu solution and the Naghdi-Hsu transformation (Q2265843)

In this paper we establish a kind of transformation, called the Naghdi- Hsu transformation, and prove the completeness of the Naghdi-Hsu solution in the theory of elasticity [\textit{P. M. Naghdi} and \textit{C. S. Hsu}, J. Math. Mech. 10, 233-245 (1961; Zbl 0095.388)]. We also study the relationships between the Naghdi-Hsu, Boussinesq-Galerkin and Papkovich- Neuber solutions.
