A linear programming model is presented here which can be used when a budget has to be shared in an equitable way among entities collected in homogeneous groups. An interesting aspect of such a model lies in the structure of its solution which enables us to determine it straightaway, without using the simplex method, and to perform an exhaustive post- optimality analysis. Applications are suggested in the field of public expediture.
