Polynomial assignment via output dynamic feedback of 3-D systems (Q2266688)

The author, essentially, considers the following polynomial equation in three variables, \(ax+by=c\), where a,b,c are known polynomials while x and y are polynomials to be determined. Such problems occur naturally in the design of feedback systems. A very effective and general procedure for tackling constructively such problems is through the theory of Gröbner basis [see N.K. Bose, ed., ''Multidimensional Systems Theory: Progress, Directions and Open Problems'', D. Reidel Publishing Co., Dordrecht (1985); especially chapter 6)].
