Stationary waves method for inverse scattering problems (Q2272239)

The author proposes a constructive algorithm for approximate sound-hard obstacle reconstruction. The method is inspired by probe types and sampling methods, but the singular fields are replaced by stationary waves. The suggested indicator function has several computational advantages, but even in theory it does not provide the obstacle exactly. In some illustrating examples the method seems to give good reconstructions.
