The authors characterize completely the spectrum and essential spectrum of normal weighted composition operators on the Fock space over \(\mathbb C^N\), by using the spectrum theorem of normal operators in \(C^*\)-algebras. As an application, the spectrum of self-adjoint weighted composition operators on the Fock space is also obtained. Note that spectra of normal weighted composition operators on Hardy space and Bergman space are not yet completely characterized, and the ideas in this paper could shed some light on the problem.
