Maximal singularities on the Fano variety \(V^ 3_ 6\) (Q2277049)

This paper fills in a gap in the proof of the Iskovskikh's theorem describing the group of birational automorphisms of the Fano variety \(V^ 3_ 6\) (i.e. a smooth complete intersection of a quadric and a cubic). To do this, one shows that, in certain conditions (satisfied for general \(V^ 3_ 6)\), there is no infinitely close maximal singularity on \(V^ 3_ 6\).
