This interesting survey article contains a review of an approach that allows to obtain sharp commutator estimates via harmonic extensions together with integration by parts and trace space estimates. Discussed are estimates for the Coifman-Rochberg-Weiss commutator associated with the vectorial Riesz transform and also estimates, usually called Coifman-McIntosh-Meyer or Kato-Ponce-Vega estimates, for a commutator associated with the square root of Laplacian. Also a remarkable Coifman-Lions-Meyer-Semmes estimate is analyzed.
