The article provides an overview of archival materials related to the history of Austrian mathematics in the first half of the 20th century. The first part focuses on sources available in the archives of the University of Innsbruck, in particular on the personal papers of Wolfgang Gröbner and Leopold Vietoris. The second part is concerned with staff records stored in the archives of the University of Vienna, containing information on Hans Hahn, Kurt Gödel, Karl Menger, and other remarkable mathematicians. Besides giving an overview of the available materials, the article contains interesting biographical passages on Gröbner, Vietoris, Hahn, and Menger.
