The author studies 4 different types of inequalities, namely, (i) linear inequality (ii) inequality derived from Bernoulli's equation (iii) inequality derived from the Riccati equation and (iv) inequality with separable variables. For each of these inequalities, the author investigates the domain of maximum existence and uniqueness of the solution. Further, a detailed study is made of the various options for the existence and continuation of solutions. Each type of inequality is illustrated with several examples exhibiting various behaviour.
