This short text recalls the 19th-century publication of the \textit{Oeuvres} of Joseph Louis Lagrange. The works of Lagrange appeared in 14 volumes edited by Alfred Serret, Gaston Darboux and Ludovic Lalanne (see, e.g. [JFM 09.0010.01; JFM 20.0012.04; JFM 24.0019.01]). The historian George Sarton later criticized this edition for its bad organization and lack of historical notes. The author subsequently mentions some manuscripts and correspondence of Lagrange that were not included in the \textit{Oeuvres}; some of them were published elsewhere throughout the 20th century. Finally, he discusses the possibility of preparing a new edition of the complete works of Lagrange, including Lagrange's unedited works and complete correspondence. The paper contains a large number of links to various websites with digitized works of Lagrange and other mathematicians. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1411.01011].
