The Green function of the Dirichlet problem for the biharmonic equation in a ball (Q2314194)

This paper is concerned with the study of the biharmonic equation on a ball. The analysis is developed in relationship with the associated Green function. A related series expansion of the Green function with respect to a complete system of homogeneous harmonic polynomials orthogonal on the sphere is also obtained in the present paper. A key role in the arguments developed in this paper is played by Almansi-type expansions combined with related asymptotic methods.
