Modelling equation of electromagnetic scattering on thin dielectric structures (Q2314345)

The paper analyzes a class of problems associated with the scattering of electromagnetic waves on a dielectric impediment. Starting from the Maxwell's equations with a consequent set of conditions, an integral equation is derived which is studied in detail. The authors obtain a sufficient condition for the unique solvability of this integral equation, and present a method to derive the continuous solution of such an integral equation from a uniformly bounded sequence of functions.
