Bi-Hamiltonian structures on the tangent bundle to a Poisson manifold (Q2324993)

This paper constructs a family of Poisson structures on the tangent bundle of a Poisson manifold \(M\), in the case when \(M\) is equipped with a bi-Hamiltonian structure. The authors first recall the definitions and the relevant facts about Lie algebroids and bi-Hamiltonian manifolds. Then, they show how the bi-Hamiltonian structure from \(M\) transfers to the tangent space. The lift Casimir functions are then studied and examples are given. Finally, the authors apply Poisson and algebroid formalisms to the theory of classification of real low-dimensional Lie algebras.
