The authors provide characterizations of semi-orthogonal Parseval wavelets associated with generalized multiresolution analysis (GMRA) for local fields of positive characteristics in terms of the consistency equation. Characterizations of Parseval scaling functions, scaling sets, orthonormal MRA-multiwavelets and bandlimited wavelets together with a Shannon type multiwavelet are also presented.
