Equilibrium configurations for generalized Frenkel-Kontorova models on quasicrystals (Q2326889)

The author of this work considers the so-called Frenkel-Kontorova model, which describes a nearest-neighbour interaction of particles in an external potential modelling, e.g. dislocations in solids. Here the potentials are given by almost-periodic functions that correspond to aperiodic crystals (quasicrystals). It is proven an existence of equilibrium configurations for such generalized case of the Frenkel-Kontorova model.
