The authors provide a new integral formula for the centro-projective area of a convex body, that turns out to be bounded from above by the centro-projective area of an ellipsoid and that equality occurs if and only if the involved convex set is an ellipsoid. A very brief section on centro-projective invariance comes next, followed by some comments and open questions regarding an application in Hilbert geometries.
