The author considers the Boussinesq system in three-dimensional open channels with ``do nothing'' boundary conditions prescribed at in/outlets. By a fixed point argument, the author shows the local existence of strong solutions with second order spatial derivatives. And the uniqueness is proved by energy arguments.
