The author is an expert in the logarithmic diffusion equation. In this interesting paper, he complements his previous study on the local behavior of solutions to such an equation. Actually, he constructs solutions to the Dirichlet problem of a logarithmic diffusion equation with a boundary value that could vanish somewhere. The author proves nonexistence results that show that his existence theorems are optimal. Some preliminary results on the geometry of the vanishing set of local solutions are also stated.
