Arrangements of hypersurfaces and Bestvina-Brady groups (Q2347647)

The authors describe, for each quasi-projective Bestvina-Brady group \(N_{\Gamma}\), a projective hyperplane arrangement \(A_{\Gamma}\) whose complement \(M_{\Gamma}\) has a fundamental group isomorphic to \(N_{\Gamma}\). Moreover, they compare in a very precise way the homotopy types of the complement \(M_{\Gamma}\) and of the classifying space \(K(N_{\Gamma},1)\).
