Explicit forms of the trace formula for \(\mathrm{GL}(2)\) (Q2358381)

In the paper under the review the authors provide a detailed computation of the trace formula for the group \(\mathrm{GL}(2)\) over a number field, together with all its ingredients. The authors also explain, in the context of the studied group, the correction argument which has been introduced by Flicker, based on introducing a global term which does not change the formula globally. An invariant form of the trace formula is also provided and the paper contains a detailed introduction to the studied problem.
