The main result of this paper is proved for real para-vector valued signals, by providing a tighter bound of the uncertainty principle for the Fourier transform in the directional case in terms of absolute covariance. Another bound by \textit{P. Dang} et al. [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 437, No. 2, 912--940 (2016; Zbl 1366.94092)] is reported without proof except for an example demonstrating that the bound by Dang et al. [loc. cit.] is stronger. An example to illustrate the result is included.
