Weil groups and the distribution of prime ideals (Q2362399)

In this paper, the authors generalise Chebotarev's density theorem to Weil groups by trying to estimate the character sums \(\sum_{\substack{ p \in P,\\ Np <x}} \chi(p)\) for \(x\in\mathbb{R}\) with \(x>2\) and where \( P\) is the set of non-zero prime ideals and \(\chi\) is a character satisfying some conditions. Since the Artin-Weil conjecture on the integrality of the Artin-Hecke \(L\)-functions has not been completely proved so far, the authors estimate the character sums both under and without the assumption of the validity of that conjecture.
