The paper is concerned with solving integral equations of the third kind with singularities in the integral. The aim is to investigate some special generalized methods for the approximate solution of the problems using generalized function spaces. The authors present a GMS (generalized method of subdomains) and a GMM (generalized moment method) and they also consider optimization of direct projection methods.
