The author develops a second order accurate scheme for a scalar, inhomomogeneous, hyperbolic conservation law. The scheme represents an extension of well-known schemes for homogeneous equations. The paper gives an answer to the question, where the source term should be evaluated. The method of solution is now being extended to hyperbolic systems of conservation laws.
