A lattice realization for 2-D separable-denominator digital filters (Q2366539)

The paper develops a simple lattice realization for class of complicated 2-D separable-denominator transfer functions. The proposed algorithm is based on the representation of the given transfer function as a 1-D transfer function with coefficients being polynomials in another variable. The building blocks of the lattice realization are cascades of two 1-D lattice realizations having dynamics in different directions. A simple method for evaluating the variance of a 2-D separable-denominator digital filter is also provided.
