Using the flux method from the classical homogenization theory, the authors study the filtration in a porous block consisting of multiple strata of two porous isotropic media, one of them consisting of thin layers of large permeability (fissures). Two small parameters are considered: the former characterizes the thickness of fissures, and the latter the thickness of the periodic strata. By means of double-scale asymptotic expansion one obtains the Darcy's law with an anisotropic permeability tensor for the macroscopic filtration.
