The paper suggests a new characterization of \(k\)-additivity defined by \textit{Ch. Labreuche} and \textit{M. Grabisch} [Eur. J. Oper. Res. 172, No.~3, 931--955 (2006; Zbl 1111.90056)]. Moreover, the paper discusses \(\mathcal C\)-decomposition of the Choquet integral with respect to bi-capacities. Finally, some perspectives of the research are outlined.
