The digital face identification problem is discussed and a method of its solution is illustrated. The paper is mostly descriptive with a minimum of mathematical theory. Its main goal is to generate various discriminators based on the characteristic matrix method, in order to identify faces. The ``ring rotation invariant transform'' technique is used to generate various transform signals. Combining the ``ring rotation invariant'' and the transformed signal methods, the desired characteristic matrix is generated. The effectivity of the presented face identification method is illustrated by practical examples.
