Limit theorems for gradient-dependent elastoplastic geomaterials (Q2382038)

The classical Drucker's limit theorems are reformulated for a class of gradient-dependent elastoplastic geomaterials. The equilibrium equations and boundary conditions are derived and used to obtain lower and upper bounds for gradient-dependent materials. A generalized Drucker-Prager yield criterion is proposed for geomaterials with hydrostatic stress dependence and with gradient effects. Analytical solutions for two generalized plane strain problems are derived and compared with classical solutions.
