Cavity expansion of a gradient-dependent solid cylinder (Q2382908)

This paper analyzes the expansion of a cylindrical cavity in an elastoplastic gradient-dependent material. The strain gradient is supposed to be small, and the authors use Tresca yield criterion. A numerical shooting method is used in order to solve a system of fourth-order ODEs with two-point boundary conditions. The elastoplastic solutions are obtained and compared with classical results.
