The authors study a discrete-delayed model of plasmid-bearing,plasmid-free organisms competing for a single-limited nutrient in a chemostat. The local stability of the equilibria is analyzed and the global stability of the boundary equilibria is proved. They also introduce a model of plasmid-bearing, plasmid-free organisms competing for two complementary nutrients in a chemostat.
