The main result is the following: Theorem. Let \((M,\xi)\) be a contact manifold. Then there exists a contact form \(\lambda\) on \(M\) and a compatible complex structure \(J\) on \(\xi\) so that there exists a set of finite-energy pseudoholomorphic planes and cylinders for the data \((\lambda,J)\) whose limit sets are diffeomorphic to the 2-torus.
