The author shows that integral-type conditions in the assumptions of many theorems like \textit{P. Chandra}'s theorem [Acta Math. Hung. 62, No. 1--2, 21--23 (1993; Zbl 0794.42002)] and its generalizations, can be replaced, being equivalent, by sequence-type conditions using the classes of quasi-geometrically increasing and decreasing sequences.
