Hyperspaces of maximal order arcs (Q2400879)

If the hyperspace of subcontinua of a continuum is endowed with the Hausdorff metric, then the space of maximal order arcs can be considered. The author obtains some conditions on the initial space such that the space of maximal order arcs be connected im kleinen or aposyndetic or having the fixed point and other properties (Section 3). The paper investigates for the first time mappings between spaces of maximal order arcs and the induced map, finding different links between them (Section 4). The studied properties are injectivity, surjectivity, and being a light map.
