Modularity and distributivity of 3-generated lattices with special elements among generators (Q2401542)

There are several well-known notions of distributivity or modularity of an element within a lattice. In a finitely generated lattice, these may be considered as infinite sets of relations. In the paper under review, lattices with 3 generators are considered, requiring for each of the generators some of these conditions. For 3 combinations of such, distributivity of the lattice is derived. Earlier results, yielding a modular lattice, are reviewed.
