The authors prove some weighted inequalities on time scales and generalized dynamic Opial-type inequalities. These are used to deduce some new dynamic Lyapunov-type inequalities. In particular, an open problem by \textit{S. H. Saker} [Math. Comput. Modelling 58, No. 11--12, 1777--1790 (2013; Zbl 1327.37009)] is settled. The results of this paper generalize, improve and unify many results on discrete or continuous analysis of inequalities, and generally on time scales inequalities. They are however, too complicated to be stated here.
