Exponents of some one-dimensional Gauss-Manin systems (Q2403290)

This paper is interesting because it brings some light to the general problem of characterizing the exponents of holonomic \(\mathcal D\)-modules in the one dimensional case specially when they arise as Gauss-Manin systems associated to some morphism. It is enriched by applications when the morphism derives from a Dwork family which is known to be connected with mirror symmetry. The length and ingenuity of the proof of this second main result are quite remarkable, providing several technical results which can be of utility in wider settings. However the reading would be easier with an improvement of the organization of the results, for instance if the examples were clearly identified as such and not mixed with proofs of the main results.
